not sure if this is the right place/site for this thread but here goes...

we (tate, nate, and i) have been talking about getting a group together a la american analogue set, low, etc. but we all have our own thing going on, are spread over the middle tn area, and have studios in various points of their evolution. so, i'm just gonna toss an idea out there.

why not put together a project that we contribute tracks to as we're able. i can provide drums and other stuff as needed. i can lay down some vocals, work on lyrical ideas. tate can work on guitar parts, noise, etc. and nate, bass, keys, what have you. i mean, we all can do really what ever we feel like doing. but we might think about how we contribute so that we might be able to perform it at some point down the road if we feel like it.

i recognize that this is not that organic, not live at all. but i think it would be a cool chance to bring a variety of influences to one sound. i'm glad i've gotten off my ass and done some recording this year. it feels good. just interested in getting involved in a few different projects and think this could turn into a really raw and inspiring project.

not sure exactly what this would look like. may be we'd all use reaper, zip up sessions, and pass (ftp) them around.

thoughts? (reply to thread)
