I think a simple Excel file that shows the money invested upfront, raised at a charity event, and donated, and how that money is being spent would work great. An itemized list that reads: "Home Depot: $200: Drywall" should be sufficient. It could also show items donated or collected by saying "Front Door: Free from Construction Site".

I'm no accounting wiz, but i think this should be a section of the website visible to folks that have zeroartproject.org accounts. something like a spreadsheet view would probably be sufficient for the moment but eventually it would be nice to have something with more fleshed out functionality. (may be there's some kind of php plug that we can add to the site.)

above all, it should be simple. different categories for money in: fund raising, donations, buy-ins, etc. and then an itemized list of money out. i guess it doesn't need to be that specific in the long run. but starting out it may help. my thoughts on this are still a bit jumbled...

A "Donate Now" button on the front page here would be a good place to start, similar to what's on the Zero Art Radio site.

Done..Any donations that come in will be added to a "Project Finances" page. Even if we don't want it public, what I could do is create a spreadsheet inside google apps and share it with everyone.
